COOKIES

HTTP cookie, commonly referred to simply as “cookie (s)”, is a package of information in the form of a small text file that is sent from a web server to your Internet browser and then returned by the browser each time it accesses the same server / website. Cookies are useful because they allow the website to recognize the visitor when re-entering the website and keep his preferences for the site.

Session Cookies

When a cookie does not have a date or period of validity, then it is a session / temporary. The browser recognizes a cookie as a session cookie if it lacks the Expires and Max-Age attributes. After the visitor closes his browser, the session cookie is deleted. The site may remove session cookies from the browser, for example when a user logs out of their account on the site or remains inactive for a certain period of time.

Persistent/Tracking Cookies

When a cookie has a date and / or period of validity, then it can be defined as ‘permanent’. This means that the cookie is not deleted when you close the browser.

Persistent cookies can also be used on sites to remember and distinguish your visitors. Most often in order to personalize, collect access statistics, improve the usability of the site and the user experience. As well as for other purposes that do not require the specific identification of users through their personal or authenticated information (user, password).

For example, the Google Analytics service uses such cookies in order to distinguish new (unique visitor) from returning (visitor) users of a site.

Third Party Cookies

A variety of cookies are those from a ‘third party’. More aggressive third-party cookies are those of advertising companies that use them to gather information and track the behavior and activities of visitors in order to display relevant ads and suggestions.

When a web page downloads and loads resources from external sites while the browser loads that page, it makes separate requests to those external sites in the background.

We use cookies in order to recognize your repeated logins and preferences on the site, to improve your experience and our site. We use both session cookies and those that remain for a certain period of time on your device after the end of the specified session. Some of them are necessary for the basic functionality of the website, while others allow us to provide you with better, personalized use of the website.
